Boulevard of Broken Dreams

I can hear them singing, the half-started projects that have been set aside for another project or flight of fancy that has come along

Check my vital signs
To know I'm still alive, and I walk alone
Sometimes, I wish someone out there will find me
'Til then, I walk alone

Looking just around my desk, I have

  1. 2 Rubik's Cubes that I was using to learn various methods of solving cubes with... but I haven't touched them in a while and now I forget the basic maneuvers
  2. The Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition sitting without being plugged in because I needed the plug at some point for something else
  3. A T1000-E card for connecting to the Meshtastic network that got lost in my bicycle bag for a little while
  4. The box for the TinyPod as I migrate away from a smart watch and try to find another use for my existing Apple Watch
  5. My notebook for journaling that I fail to write in on a regular basis

And that isn't to mention the version of this blog that is still in a to-do state with a major overhaul needed, my home server that needs to have hard drives cloned and replaced because they are starting to throw SMART errors, the installations of Home Assistant and Plex on said server that both need some digital maintenance from years of clutter they have picked up...

I like to think that I am "focused" and "productive" but empirical evidence points in a different direction.

Man... Maybe it is just me but it seems like the search results and overall image quality on Unsplash have gone down hill lately. I feel like I have come across images for e-waste there in the past, but now it was doing some sort of text matching inside the image, so I was getting back signs that said "waste" instead of matching on the actual search term to image keywords.Man... I _feel_ like I have come across images for e-waste there in the past, but now it was doing some sort of text matching inside the image, so I was getting back signs that said "waste" instead of matching on the actual search term to image keywords.
